Following feedback on the Magic Cafe, I have included some ideas on attaching SS to a tee shirt or casual shirt. Here's an idea from EZ Rhythm...
Idea - attaching detachable magnet on the inside of tee shirt
"One way for setting up to (invisibly) attach the gimmick to a button down shirt or a t-shirt is to take a small piece of cloth or other material about 1 1/4" square and fabric glue or sew it to the inside of the shirt where you want the servante to hold. Obviously you will want to mount the servante in place, test it and then mark where you have it mounted. When attaching the piece of fabric only glue or sew the sides and bottom of the piece so that the top remains open like a mini pocket (into which you place the magnet). One way to be able to be sure you don't glue the center is to place a small popsicle stick between the fabric piece and the shirt when bonding.
Fabric glue is available a craft stores, Walmart and on Amazon. I have found that it is some great stuff especially when you don't feel like sewing. After it has dried, fabrics bound with it may also be peeled apart for repositioning and re-gluing or dis-use as desired yet the bond remains plenty effective while remaining in use even after laundering. Always check your application after laundering anyway just to be sure."
Thank you EZ
Idea - adding a loop on the inside of tee shirt
In the same way that SS can be attached to a belt, this idea can be used with a tee shirt. Simply glue or sew a piece of fabric slightly wider than the width of SS on the inside of the tee shirt, with the top and bottom open. You can then thread SS though this "loop" and secure with the magnets.
Idea - simple velcro to the rescue!
Another option would be to attach velcro to SS and to the tee shirt - simples!!!
Although these ideas are more fiddly than our usual attachment method, this does open up SS to be used outside of the jacket and waistcoat requirements.
Idea - pinching fabric between magnet
Here's a great idea from Joost De Cupere - THANK YOU!
"The way I found has as downside that it is visible, well as far as i can tell no one will ever notice so this is not really a downside in my opinion but it is technically visible.
This will be the result: as you see you can see the place where the magnet is attached (right bottom corner of the image on my T-Shirt) but I kind of like it...
MAGIC ON!
